- It protrudes westward into the Atlantic Ocean as a peninsula; the Bay of Biscay lies to the southwest and the English Channel to the north.
- The capital is Rennes.
- Belongs to the ancient uplands of the Armorican Massif.
- Principal rivers include the Vilaine, the Leita, and the Rance.
Fun facts about our area:
- All road signs are in Breton, their local language.
- French law are decided and voted through the French parliament, normal. But, Brittany get his own parliament. Even if anybody know his role. But, still, they have it.
- It has it's own 21 countries within it's origin coutry.
- Breton consider that Nantes is not taking part of Pays de la Loire, but of their area.
- They also consider that Mont-Saint-Michel is out of Normandie. And guess what ? They say it’s from their area.
- This area is the countrie's part which produce more pork.
- ” A sword in the stone ” (Merlin l’enchanteur in French) is directly inspired by a legend of this area!
- This area is celtic besides it's true location is Celtic ! As Ireland, Australia, Spain, England, South Wales and so on.
- This is the part of a country which organizes the biggest festival of music in the country, festival interceltique, astropolis, vieilles charrues etc.
- This place is the only part of it's country where roads are all free !
